#0630 Dagger Without Edge

Class: Auroch; Campus: 1st, Training Wing; Warning: Item, Weapon, Enchantment

Archival Procedure

#0630 is to be archived in an ordinary locked box. This anomaly is excepted from default security level requirements, and can be shown to Trainee Archivists. It is not allowed to be taken out from the 1st Campus Training Wing.

Description

#0630 is a dagger with a blunt point and no edge on either side, 710mm in length from tip to pommel, with 456mm of it being the blade. It has no identifying marks, even when disassembled. The materials used are mundane steel and a bone from a cattle.

According to Appraisal with multiple different magic items, the dagger has a very powerful [Extreme Sharpness] enchantment. Only a Bladesmith of very high levels can craft this enchantment, and even then with enormous expense. In addition, attempts to enchant [Sharpness] on a weapon without edge have always resulted in failure. Weapons with [Sharpness] already on it is supposed to be impossible to dull.

Recovery

The anomaly was found on a hoard, protected by a tribe of kobolds on the 28th, Late 1st Dust, Year 1121 inside the Kirwater Lake Rift. The adventurers that retrieved it sold it to a merchant as a curiosity, and Athenaeum Seekers recovered it three months and six days later. The merchant was compensated fairly.
